PCI PCB
|

Thinking about the convenience of running a custom design on a PCB and fitting it to the PCI slot on a PC, just for convenience of voltage, housing etc. Are there any manufacturers that sell blanks with gold plated connectors? Is that the best way to do it?

PADS question: document name
|
| |
Hi, Our long-time PADS guy left to start a new life, and we're breaking in a replacement. It's going well, except for this annoyance: we used an old board as the basis for a new one, with a big ECO, saving the outline, mounting holes, and most of the power supply stuff. Works fine, renamed and saved as a new design. But the fab and assembly drawings still show... more »

34330A 30 A Current Shunt any cheaper alternative?
|
| |
Hello All, While working on certain test system, I needed to measure current value up to 4A. As I looked for the DMM with GPIB cable that supports the measurement up to 4A, I could not find any. Agilent suggests me to use 34330A 30 A Current Shunt which is so expensive after adding the calibration cost. (around 600 Sing$).... more »

The manual for the DVD player says that the audio output has an impedance of 10k ohm.... more »

Movement/Vibration Detection

I am looking for a way to detect movement/vibration around a specific area, using some type of sensor(s) that are buried under the ground. I would like this sensor to activate an alarm when there is vibration around it - such as digging, or vehicles driving, etc. I have heard of sensors for house alarms that are buried in the ground... more »

looking for HV power supply with decent current
|
| |
Looking to build, as simple as possible and cost effectively, a 100 KV power supply capable of supplying up to 5 mA current. I'd like it to be able to handle loads of all types, allow sparking ability, and be able to run free without connections. An old style induction coil comes to mind, but surely... more »
