Also, it can be a regional consideration - I have always gotten the
impression, for example, that some soloists don't come to America very
much, but play frequently in Europe, Canada, or Russia, or South
America - so one's general impression of an artists' visibility can be
skewed.

No, no, no stake whatsoever. Let me put this in context. I have seen
over the years many comments, such as "Radu Lupu has disappeared",

The funny thing is that in his Schumann, Chopin, Ravel and Scriabin,
Volodos is about as far as he could be from Horowitz and from this
encore world of Moszkowski and the like. I figure he has encores for a
lifetime, anyway... Hey Volodos, play us the Turkish March!!

You're exaggerating.
Why doesn't he take care that the "regular" Brilliant Classics stuff is
available in the Kruidvat stores?
There's almost *nothing* to find, since a long time.

I'd say that he seems to take a child-like delight in his virtuoso
abilities - also, there's no denying that the Horowitz presence
remains strong in this little arrangement.

This type of piano music does absolutely nothing for me... with the
amount of modern repertoire requiring amazing fingers like Volodos
has, why stay with Moszkowski?
